This generator is simply amazing! Out of the crate it was quick to set up and clearly well constructed. After putting the supplied oil in it, it started on the second pull. I have used it twice so far and it easily ran my refrigerator, two fish tanks, two lamps, a space heater, a reptile heater in a reptile cage and it could have handled plenty more. There was no indication of any strain running all of these. A solid buy!!

I have not run the generator for any extended period of time. However, the product is well made. Assembly of wheels and handles is required, but simple to do. It is very heavy, so the wheels come in handy. It takes me about 3 pulls to start the engine, which isn't a big deal, but still I wished it had an electric start. I'll be using this mainly for major emergency situations.

Alternator Technology Safely Delivers Electricity to Your Appliances One of the most innovative features of the PG30P11 is its ETQ Clean Sine Alternator Technology that ensures low total harmonic distortion (THD). With THD of less than five percent, the PG30P11 ensures high-quality, safe delivery of electricity from the generator to your electrical components.
With low THD, this generator is computer-friendly, meaning it's completely safe to use with laptops, printers, desktop computers, and more. The PG30P11 will give you peace of mind knowing that your computer hardware is completely safe from power surges and bad-quality electricity.

This is a very good value given competitors offerings. I have used it for about 2 hours, mostly to break in the engine, it starts well, runs quietly and smoothly, and seems to be very well designed and built. Two things worth pointing out:
1) this is a single pole generator, that means 120 volt only, no 240 volt capability. This seems to be incorrectly stated in the description as "(1)120/240 volts 14-20R", where in fact this has a "(1) 120 volt L5 30R". If you want things like deep well pumps to work, they probably won't as most are 240 volt. This can be verified by zooming in on the enlarged photo that Amazon provides (click on the photo of the generator, in the new window zoom in on the receptacles and volt meter)
2) this unit weighs about 100 lbs and does not come with a wheel kit (as advertised, a hand truck solves this nicely).
If you want to use this for emergency power backup, check your generator transfer panel to insure it is designed... Read more

This review is from: ETQ PG30P11 3,500 Watt 7 HP 208cc 4-Cycle OHV Propane Powered Portable Generator (Lawn & Patio)
The generator arrived with the plastic air cleaner cover severely cracked. This seemed to be due to a somewhat flimsy/unprotected part, but primarily rough shipping. It is unlikely to get damaged during normal use. Anyway, a quick call to Amazon directed me to the manufacturer. The manufacturer Parts Dept offered to send me a replacement for free, and two weeks later it arrived. Fortunately, it was pretty easy to install, because the parts diagram in the owner manual is like a bad copy of a fax, and doesn't depict the air cleaner assembly anyway.
I hooked it up to an LPG tank and followed the instructions for a cold start in the manual, although the language was somewhat confusing (e.g. it took me a while to figure out that the "resistance air valve handle" referred to the choke.) After pulling the start handle multiple times, the best I could do was get it to run for maybe a second. Thinking I might have "flooded" the engine, I endeavored to remove the spark plug (the... This review is from: ETQ PG30P11 3,500 Watt 7 HP 208cc 4-Cycle OHV Propane Powered Portable Generator (Lawn & Patio)
I don't know what inspired me to purchase this generator, other than having shopped for one casually for a while, but my timing was impeccable. We just had a massive ice storm in Kentucky that decimated power lines with fallen tree limbs layered with inches of thick ice. This generator came on the 6th day without electricity. I added oil to the generator, cranked it up and ran it for 4 days (12-14 hours per day). I couldn't be more pleased. Since all the gas stations within a reasonable distance were closed, using propane was an excellent alternative. I did break the plastic choke lever upon initial use, but I found I never had to use it - and if I ever do there is enough left to allow me to choke the engine. Regardless, I didn't buy it for wheels but to provide electricity and it has done so in an admirable manner soldiering on (as I said) for 4 days. I wish I had bought this earlier. It is the best priced and powered LPG/Propane generator that is available. If you need one - and who... Read more

We were recently hit by Hurricane Irene. The generator worked great! I was able to power up my Refrigerator, 50" TV, Dish, charge 2 cellphones and a Fan for at least 5 hrs on one Gallon. Generator is relatively quiet, even more on Eco mode. My neighbor was stunned by the size of the generator and that it didn't make that much of a noise compared to his generator.. At night, I would plug 2 fans, CPAP machine, charge my 2 phones and on echo mode, it lasted for 8 hrs. I'm very please with the work it has done, even more so now that we are in the peak of the Hurrican season.

I got this for work in a remote location with no power. We have a little station that needs heat so we purchased this to get us by in the winter. I must say when I first started this I thought it was pretty loud till I adjusted a few things. I was running my heater at to high of a setting(1500 watts) and this thing was kicking in really high. Turned the heater down a notch in wattage and it just hums along. I use a modified doghouse to store this in and it hasn't failed us yet. I would recommend this if you can't afford a Honda which of course is really expensive but much quieter. Time will tell on the durability of this thing.
Edit: Now 4 months later of every day use around 8 hours a day and it is still going strong. Highly Recommend.

This generator is used with my 19 foot motor home and works fine to power microwave, 8,ooo btu air conditioner /or 1500 watt heater. Can not use any of the above together as it exceeds rating of unit. However, the unit works well is easily started and is relatively quiet.
